SFL Rd7: Samba Boys Too Good For South Fremantle MC

Pictured: Marcio Mendes and Thiago Vieira all smiles after their big win, which pushed them up to second on the table

Scarborough Samba Boys 8
- Victor Brauner 3, Leandro Paixao 3, Thiago Vieira 2
Defeated
South Fremantle MC 3
- Daniel Muzzarelli 2, Nariman Khankhalili 1

The Samba Boys, this week, saw the welcome return of Victor Brauner and Leandro Paixao to their starting line up. The two looked like they were on a mission to make up for their time away, which saw the team drop to fourth on the table during their absence. 3 goals from each of them quickly put them in control of the game, and with 2 more from Thiago Vieira, the game was in the bag for the Boys from Scarborough. As finals approach The Samba Boys will be looking to bring back all their stars and have a full strength side for when they will need them the most.

South Fremantle really struggled this game as they were missing a few players who could've helped make this game a lot closer. South Fremantle's Daniel Muzzarelli was the stand out player who netted 2 of the 3 goals for his team. Unfortunately he was also the only player in his team that was able to match the Scarborough players for pace and at times found himself being over worked. The upcoming weekend should be very different with the side adding more youth and pace as they look to get the win over an in form Stirling Spaniards side.
